  • 1 packet dry active yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1¼ cups warm water
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped rosemary
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  1. In a large bowl, mix packet of yeast and water
  2. Add sugar, salt, rosemary, and olive oil to bowl and stir
  3. Mix in all flour and work together with your hands
  4. Lightly grease a large bowl and place the dough in
  5. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let it rise for 1 hour
  6. Remove the dough from the bowl and roll it into a ball on a floured surface
  7. Let the dough sit for 20 minutes uncovered
  8. Line the crock pot with two pieces of parchment paper, leaving 2 inches hanging out of each side of the crock pot
  9. Place the dough in the crock pot and sprinkle it with the remaining salt and rosemary
  10. Drape paper towels over the top of the crock pot and place the lid on – this will capture any moisture and prevent it from dripping back onto your bread
  11. Cook the bread on HIGH for 2 hours
  12. Remove bread from crock pot and let cool before slicing and serving
